Cardio Tennis Drill – Ball rush
Description: Here is USPTA Elite Professional Michele Krause with a cardio tennis drill emphasizing volleys, overheads and a lot of up and back movement. And of course, lots of fun.
Tip:
Cardio Tennis drills are great exercises to implement into your practice sessions as you can have several people on the court working together and having fun. Players get to hit a high number of shots within a short period of time and have a great workout due to the high intensity.
This week we have Michele Krause with a fun Cardio Tennis drill that involves a lot of up and back movement while hitting lots of volleys and overheads. The balls are fed rapidly forcing the players to move and rotate quickly. In between shots the players are also going through a series of speed ladder cardio exercises to avoid any slow time. The drill is intended to get everyone moving and hitting as much as possible within the drill time.
