Description:
Serve and volley, anyone? Check out this video featuring former ATP serve-and-volley player and USPTA Professional Hank Pfister as he talks about the advantages of the serve and volley.

Tip:

Serve and volley is a style of play that requires a player to have an efficient serve, a feel and touch for volleys, quickness, and the knowledge of where to position himself at the net. This style of play applies pressure on the opponent’s ability to hit passing shots. It eliminates the rally phase of the point, allowing the player to emphasize his strengths at the net.

How many of your players like to serve and volley? Do you have a hard time convincing them to buy into this style of play? This week’s tip features former ATP serve-and-volley player Hank Pfister discussing the advantages of serve-and-volley play.
