Forehand domination

Description:
USPTA Professional Mark Bey uses this drill to teach players to dominate the court with the forehand. Players work in teams and they get rewarded for hitting forehands. The feeder starts the point out. This drill can be adjusted to any level and age!

Tip:

The forehand groundstroke has become one of the most used shots in today’s game. It is the shot that dominates the game of most advanced players during baseline rallies. It is important for players to practice building points around their weapon and know when they need to pull the trigger.

There are different methods of training including hitting/rallying, playing points and drilling. Drills are a valuable tool for learning and perfecting the shots and may be used to train players at all levels. Each drill usually has a particular goal such as technique, hitting to targets, movement, conditioning, point development, and strategy and tactics, and players should try to practice with each specific goal in mind so they are drilling with purpose.
