Game – In front or behind
Description: Check out USPTA Elite Professional Mark Bey with a fun game emphasizing anticipation and decision making during point play.
Tip:
Many times we see our players miss shots due to poor anticipation or shot selection. They play a great series of shots but are not able to close out the point. Being able to read the opponent and understand the options of that particular situation can help players reduce unforced errors, improve shot selection and therefore be more successful.
How can players get better at this? By practicing these point-play situations over and over again.
This week we have USPTA Elite Professional Mark Bey with a fun game in which the assigned player focuses on decision making within the first 2 balls. Based on the shot he hits, the player must decide whether the shot was heavy enough to move in and be aggressive or stay back and work another couples of shots until an offensive situation arises.
