In this drill, USPTA Professional Emilio Sanchez Vicario demonstrates how to help a player improve his or her footwork, body control and shot selection. This drill forces players to hit both defensive and offensive shots, and it can be tailored for any level of player, as seen in this video.

As we all know, Spanish players are famous for their excellent footwork and endurance on the tennis court. Each time you encounter a Spanish opponent you know that you will not have an easy match. Today we will show you an example of the Spanish method of training by presenting one of the drills Emilio Sanchez Vicario uses in his academies to improve players’ footwork and movement. It also helps players control their bodies when moving side to side and adjusting the feet around the ball that is being fed.
