Although most of today’s rallies are dominated by power and aggressiveness, the slice shots are essentials tools that every player should have in their bag. Slice shots may be used for several reasons: changing the pace of the rally, returning serve, approach and as well as defense. Also, by having good slices you’ll most likely have good volleys and dropshots. It’s important to have a variety of shots in your arsenal so you can use the right shot in the right situation.
