Dr. Oluwaferanmi Okanlami – Is the director of student accessibility and accommodation services at the University of Michigan. He is also an assistant professor of family medicine, physical medicine & rehabilitation and urology at Michigan Medicine and an adjunct assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He serves as the disability issues representative on the Steering Committee for the Group on Diversity and Inclusion at the Association of American Medical Colleges, sits on the National Medical Association’s Council on Medical Legislation and was invited by the White House Office of Public Engagement to participate in the Health Equity Leaders Roundtable Series dedicated to exploring perspectives around Access to Care; he was also recently nominated by President Joe Biden to serve on the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition.
Otis Sadler – Is the director of tennis at Lakeside Country Club in Houston. Before joining Lakeside, he was the director of junior tennis at Houston Racquet Club for eight years. Otis moved to Houston in 2000 and was the program director for the Zina Garrison All Court Tennis Academy. He also worked for the USTA Texas Section for five years, including as the director of junior recreation. He has been on the Tennis Channel on several occasions doing instructional videos for the USPTA. Otis played his junior tennis in Texas and was a member of The University of Texas Men’s Tennis team from 1988-1993. He is a USTA Texas Section national coach and has worked with numerous nationally and world-ranked juniors. Otis works with both adult and junior players and has a wealth of knowledge to help his clients improve their game. In 2021 and 2022, Otis served on the African American Engagement project team for USTA Texas.
Emilio Sánchez Vicario – Is a former ATP player who reached World No. 7 in singles and No. 1 in doubles. He won three Grand Slam doubles titles, 15 ATP men’s singles titles and 50 men’s doubles titles. At the 1988 Olympic Games, he won the men’s doubles silver medal. He was the captain of Spain’s Davis Cup team in 2008 when Spain won the world championship. Sánchez Vicario is a USPTA Master Professional, RPT Master Professional and has competitive and professional certifications from the International Coaches Institute. Nearly two decades ago, he and Sergio Casal opened Academia Sanchez-Casal (ASC) in Barcelona, Spain. Today, ASC has two world-renowned school and training destination academies located in Barcelona, Spain, and Naples, Fla., as well as a third one in Nanjing, China, offering only the tennis program. Its alumni have ascended to the top of every level of competitive tennis, from junior national and international rankings and titles to Collegiate All-American status and NCAA titles, to Olympic medals, to ATP/WTA titles, to top 10 ATP/WTA rankings and Major Championship titles.
Peter Taglianetti – Is an American former NHL defenseman for the Pittsburg Penguins and former college hockey coach at Washington & Jefferson College. With the Pittsburgh Penguins, he won the Stanley Cup in 1991 and 1992. He is currently co-president of VMD Global Media, LLC and is a keynote speaker. Peter Taglianetti believes that great mentoring can change the path of people’s lives in sport, business and life. Peter’s love for mentoring others started early in his own life. As a child, Peter was mentored by a neighbor who noticed his untapped athleticism and put him in skates, and the rest is history. An advocate of mentorship on and off the ice, Peter began his NHL career with guidance from great coaches and seasoned players. With success on the ice came the opportunity for Peter to mentor many younger players. Peter’s role as a mentor continued at home as the father of six kids, each with their own success in sport and school, he passed on the tools that he learned from his coaches, in business and life.
Frank Nobilo – Is as a lead analyst for the Golf Channel’s PGA TOUR coverage. In addition to his work on Golf Channel’s live tournament coverage, he serves as both an in-studio and on-site analyst for Golf Central and Golf Channel’s Live, from programming, airing on-site from the game’s biggest events. The assistant captain for the 2009 and 2011 International Presidents Cup team, Nobilo is a veteran of several professional golf tours. Nobilo won 14 times around the world, including two Sarazen World Opens and the 1997 Greater Greensboro Chrysler Classic on the PGA TOUR. He played numerous World and Dunhill Cups for his native New Zealand and was a three-time member of the International Presidents Cup team.
Chris Evert – Chris “Chrissie” Evert won the first of her 18 Grand Slam titles in 1974 on the way to becoming one of the most decorated female athletes in history. With a game born on the courts of Fort Lauderdale’s Holiday Park and honed by her father, the late Jimmy Evert, she would go on to win at least one Grand Slam title over the next 13 years, piling up 157 Tour titles. She won 90 percent of her matches (1,209-146), a feat that has never been equaled by any player—male or female. Evert reached the finals in 76 percent of the tournaments in which she played and the semifinals or better in 52 of her 56 Grand Slam singles appearances. She advanced to the semifinals or better in her first 34 Grand Slam tournaments. In 1976, Sports Illustrated named her “Sportswoman of the Year” and in 1999 she was named by ESPN as one of the “Top 50 North American Athletes of the Century. In 1995, Chris received tennis’ highest honor as the sole inductee into the International Tennis Hall of Fame, becoming only the fourth player in tennis history to be unanimously selected. Chris co-owns the Evert Tennis Academy in Boca Raton, publishes Tennis Magazine and serves as a tennis analyst for ESPN’s Grand Slam coverage.

Johnny Parkes – was a lead national coach for USTA player and coach development, facilitating coaching and training programs to assist in the development of the best U.S. prospects at the USTA Training Center West, as well as other locations. In his previous role, Johnny was the head of strength and conditioning for IMG Tennis Academy, blending his unique experience with delivery of both on- and off-court services. In this role, Johnny helped develop a range of skill levels including ATP/WTA professional players, ITF and USTA juniors. Johnny is recognized as a leader in tennis-specific youth athletic development, having been asked to present on the topic in many different global forums and organizations as well as co-hosting the popular tennis podcast “Compete Like a Champion” with Dr. Lauer. Johnny’s first stint at the USTA was as senior manager of player ID and development, overseeing the Team USA Junior training and coach and parent development structure for 15-and-under American players.
Dr. Larry Lauer – is the director of mental performance for USTA Player Development (PD), leads the mental performance team, works with junior, transitional pro and professional tennis players and co-hosts the “Compete Like a Champion” podcast with Coach Johnny Parkes. Larry has a Ph.D. in exercise and sport science, specializing in sport psychology from UNC Greensboro. Formerly, Larry was the Director of Coach Education and Outreach at MSU’s Institute for the Study of Youth Sports and was an assistant coach and mental coach for Michigan State Men’s Tennis for three years, culminating with the team reaching the 2013 NCAA tournament. An AASP Certified Mental Performance Coach and listed in the USOPC Sport Psychology Registry, Larry was named one of the 100 Most Influential Sport Educators in America by the Institute for International Sport for his work in developing and leading the Playing Tough and Clean Hockey Program. He also received the 2017 “Doc” Councilman Science Award for Tennis.
Lorenzo Beltrame – has worked with dozens of ATP and WTA touring professionals. An award-winning coaching authority, Lorenzo served as director of athletic performance coaching at the Johnson and Johnson Human Performance Institute, formerly known as LGE Performance Systems in Orlando from 1996 to 2016. While working at the Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute, Lorenzo has collaborated with Dr. Jim Loehr for more than two decades and has been responsible for the designing, development and delivery of the mental toughness certification program for coaches.
Dominique Lemperle – is the head tester/coach developer for the USPTA Florida Division. Dominique Lemperle was born and raised in Germany. She was recruited to play college tennis at the University of Colorado at Boulder and played No.1 singles and doubles. She graduated with a master’s degree in journalism and has worked as a sportswriter and tennis graphics operator at Grand Slams, representing IBM. She moved to South Florida in 2015, became a USPTA Elite Tennis Pro and started her pickleball teaching and playing career. Based in Naples, Florida she is the director of sports courts at Esplanade Golf & Country Club where she manages an active program of 450 active pickleball players.
Simon Paek – is a former two-term USPTA president, California Division as well as being honored as California Division’s Professional of the Year in 2023. Simon served on the USPTA Executive Committee of from 2000-2006 and he is a former U.S. national coach for the USTA. Simon graduated from the University of California Irvine (UCI) with a BA in political science in 1988. He is currently the director of tennis at the Mission Viejo Country Club and has 34 years of teaching experience.
